Chequest Township, Van Buren County, Iowa
West Center of Section 36
Ten Eyck Cemetery is one of the smaller cemeteries not among
those indexed by the Van Buren County Genealogical Society.
You will find a listing of their available cemetery books on their
web site.
The cemetery is just north of Lebanon Corners on County Road T – a pavement. It is north of the Methodist Church and of the house north of the church. This is the old Ten Eyck farm, but was listed in the 1898 plat book as Van Eyck. There are no names of either spelling in the present telephone directory.
The unfenced burial ground is across the first field east and north of the house. Only one stone is standing.
