Home Prairie is one of the smaller cemeteries not among those

Van Buren County Genealogical Society.

| This burial place is just
north of Highway 2, Section 21 of Des Moines Township. It is at
the site of the abandoned town of East Home Prairie. (See History
of Van Buren County Towns, present and former, a supplement to Van
Buren County Cemetery Inscriptions.) Maps show a Methodist Church
at this site. At one time there was also a school, and a Post
Office for over thirty years. The single tall monument is not visible from the highway as there ls a circle drive to and from the pavement to reach the graves. Burials:
